AND FINALLY OUR FIRST GRADE LAST PROJECT: THE 3 R's
As a first grade final project the Llúdrigues were so worried about the Earth so we decided to work on The 3 R's: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
Do you want to see a video about it?
First we learn what the three R's mean: Reduse, Reuse and Recycle.
Then we learn how to recycle objects in the correct bin and it's not easy!!
Then we draw it on a paper.
To save water we can have showers instead of baths!
We can use our trolley instead of plastic bags when we go to the market or supermarket.
We throw old food to the compost.
OUR NEW PROJECT: THE OTTER!!
This week we start our third term project. Do you know what does OTTER mean? It means Llúdrigues!! And we will start studying them! But... do you want to see them????
They are so cute!! Look how they hold hands!!
Look what we are doing in class!! We learn a lot about Otters!!
Do you know what’s the Llúdrigues class last job??
They are Gardeners!! And they are very good at gardening!!!!!!!
First we germinated seeds.
We needed a glass, cotton different seeds such as: radish, lentils, potatoe, soyabean, carrot and beans and finally water.
We waited two weeks and meanwhile we did a diary. We observed their growing and we watered the seeds.
And the germinated seeds grew!! (week 1)
Another week passed by and the germinated seeds grew and grew.... (week 2)
So we needed a seed tray, compost or soil and water!
After that we planted the germinated seeds in a seed tray. We put some compost in the seed tray, then we put the seed, we added some more compost and finally we watered them. They worked sooo hard and had a lot of fun. They have their own notice board.
THE LLÚDRIGUES CLASS (GRADE 1) ARE WORKING ON THE ERIC CARLE’S BOOK THE MIXED-UP CHAMELEON.
SO THE PiNGÜINS CLASS (GRADE 6) DECIDED TO PREPARE A GIMKANA ABOUT THE BOOK FOR THE LLÚDRIGUES CLASS.
THERE WERE FOUR DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES.
1-THE TWISTER: THE PINGÜINS STUDENTS GAVE THE WHEEL A SPIN AND THE LLÚDRIGUES HAD TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS.
2-MATCH THE COLOUR WITH THE ANIMAL: WITH DIFFERENT ARROWS THEY HAD TO JOIN THE ANIMALS WITH THE CORRECT COLOUR AS IN THE BOOK
3-MAKE THE RAINBOW: WITH THE HELP OF A MAP THEY HAD TO FIND DIFFERENT COLORFUL PIECES TO MAKE A RAINBOW.
4- FIND THE ENVELOPES: THEY HAD TO FIND THE ENVELOPES WITH THE DIFFERENT PARTS OF ANIMAL BODIES AND STICK THEM IN THE CORRECT PLACES.
WE ALL HAD A GREAT TIME!!!!
